Set in its own grounds, Newton Lodge B & B has a unique location at the junction of Loch Glencoul and Loch Glendhu in the Scottish Highlands. The bed and breakfast is tastefully decorated, in a traditional style, to a very high standard by proprietors Andre and Freda. Attention to detail and stunning panoramic views is what makes this B&B an unforgettable place to stay. 

The Drawing Room

This restful room, elegantly styled with Chesterfield couches, dark beams, ornate fire-place and large windows with panoramic views, is for the exclusive use of our bed and breakfast guests. Enjoy a malt whisky by the open fire, a quiet game of chess with a companion or select from the wide variety of books and magazines on display.

The Dining Room

With a distinctly Scottish feel, the dining room is a relaxing place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast.  We offer a buffet style cereal selection followed by a choice of traditional breakfast, smoked salmon or kippers. For the evening meal there are excellent restaurants in the local area. We also offer light refreshments for those preferring to eat at our B&B.

The Conservatory

The panoramic conservatory with its stunning vista is also for the exclusive use of our B & B guests. The conservatory has been purpose built to command excellent views of the small colony of common seals which breed every year on the island studded bays of Loch Glencoul. The seal pups are born around the middle of June and we have a telescope trained on the seal colony in eager anticipation of the first new pup of the year. Our bed and breakfast guests may use the telescope at leisure to view the seals as well as several varieties of shore birds which nest on the islands. With luck and patience , otter and golden eagle can also be spotted. 

Guest Bedrooms

The bed and breakfast has 7 comfortable en-suite bedrooms, tastefully decorated for your comfort.  The rooms have Colour TV, hair dryer, radio/alarm and tea tray with fine china, shortbread biscuits and a variety of teas and coffee. All our B&B rooms are en-suite with either shower or bath and complimentary soap and shampoo. Most rooms offer loch or mountain views and our premium  room has a luxury four poster bed with views in two directions. Contact us to book early and avoid disappointment.

Self-catering Options

We also offer self catering accommodation at our fully equipped lodges at Kylesku. The lodges , which sleep up to four persons, are situated on a private estate within easy walking distance of Kylesku village.
