OUT & ABOUT

There are two Munros in the area and several Corbetts, including neighbouring Quinag. Prefer something more easy-going? Take a leisurely stroll along one of the many golden sandy beaches. Enjoy a scenic drive around the routes that are the main attraction of the NC500, hugging the coastline and witness some of the wildest and most dramatic scenery found anywhere in the UK.

SO MUCH TO SEE

A paradise for wildlife

The birdlife and animals roaming wild are a great attraction in Unapool. Otters. Eagles. Stags. There’s even a common seal colony and breeding grounds right on our doorstep, in the loch below Newton Lodge. Watch them via binoculars from the lounge and bar or take a pair out with you and wait and see what happens. We would love to know what you have spotted

AN ANCIENT LANDSCAPE

UNESCO Global Geopark

One of more than 150 worldwide, this protected area tells the story of a unique landscape and geological heritage. 3 billion years of rock formations – the oldest to be found anywhere in Europe and containing the earliest evidence of life. Visit The Rock Stop Café for more information on this fascinating subject and marvel at the view.
